informations about producer

The story of a wine producer from Abruzzo is a story of travel, change and new experiences. Our friends, Mira and Alberto, after years spent outside Italy working for corporations, decided to take on the new challenge of running a vineyard and agritourism business. A charming place located in the heart of Abruzzo, near Teramo, between the sea and the mountains, prompted them to take on this task. They put a lot of energy and resources into renovating the entire complex, which consists of several hectares of vineyards, an olive grove and a space for rest and relaxation in the form of modern glamping.

All their wines are organically grown and delight with their quality. The inscription on some of the labels – drink in moderation because they are addictive – humorously reflects the character of these wines. Indeed, both the white Pecorino and the rosé Cerasuolo, as well as the full-bodied red Montepulciano, are the essence of wine itself, encouraging you to reach for another glass.

We invite all travellers in Italy to visit this place. In addition to wine, you can stay overnight and try the excellent extra vergine d'oliva oil.

We will strongly promote our friends' wines and wish them luck in their new life plan.

A dry red wine made from an indigenous grape variety from Abruzzo called Montepulciano. If you are looking for wines that are low in tannins yet rich in structure and aroma on the Italian wine map, Montepulciano is an excellent choice. In addition, Uma Casa Natura is a producer that offers only wines from organic cultivation in its range. Carefully managed vineyards and a minimum of chemical additives result in very good wines, which, as the producer rightly declares, should be drunk in moderation because they are addictive.

Warm, consistent and strong, this is a wonderful Montepulciano from the hilly vineyards around Teramo.

A dry white wine made from a grape variety originating in Abruzzo called Pecorino. This picturesque region, located in the middle of the Apennine Peninsula, produces excellent wines, including white Pecorino, thanks to its mountainous and maritime climate. In fact, it is native to the neighbouring Marche region, but it has also become well established here. The name most likely comes from the Italian word „pecora” - sheep, because the pastures were adjacent to the vineyards. Pecorino is one of the most interesting Italian white wines, characterised by good structure, low acidity, rich aromas and flavour.

    Color: shiny straw yellow.
Aroma: complex, notes of jasmine, honey, sage and citrus.
    Flavor: crisp, mineral.

A dry rosé wine made from an indigenous grape variety from Abruzzo called Montepulciano. While the two previous wines are powerful in colour and structure, their pink „brother” nicely but more delicately echoes them in its aroma. What is delightful, however, is the ease with which it can be enjoyed. It is a pity that pink wines are so underappreciated by Polish consumers, because they can be truly fantastic in terms of quality. In Italy, the names Cerasuolo, Chiaretto and Kretzer always refer to rosé wines, the first from the Montepulciano grape variety, the second a blend of grapes used to make Bardolino, and the third the Lagrein variety from Alto Adige. These wines are usually reliable in terms of quality. In addition to the pleasure of tasting, there are also many possibilities for pairing rosé wines with food, from appetisers to light meat-based dishes and, of course, fish, and they are certainly an alternative to white wine.

Montepulciano „rosé” is truly addictive and tastes delicious at any time of the day or year.

Aroma: complex, fresh, notes of cherries, strawberries, wild strawberries, almonds.
    Flavor: crisp, mineral, fruity.
Food matching: excellent as an aperitif, with starters, fish-based dishes, pizza, delicate cheeses.
    Serving temperature: 12°C.
    Alcohol content: 13,5%.
