A dry red wine made from the indigenous Sangiovese grape variety blended with Merlot in equal proportions. Among all Super Tuscans, this one is definitely in a class of its own. The Siepi vineyard is the oldest of all the family's estates, dating back to 1435. Picturesquely situated at an altitude of 260 meters, surrounded by oak forest, it has a unique microclimate ensured by unlimited sunshine and temperature differences between day and night. In the 1980s, it was decided to plant Merlot here, and the combination of Merlot and Sangiovese in equal proportions was an absolute innovation. That is why Siepi belongs to the elite group of 50 wines that have completely changed the Italian style of winemaking.
Merlot is aged for 18 months in small French oak barrels, 70% of which are new, while Sangiovese is aged in large tonneaux barrels, 70% of which are also new. Perfect balance, incredible power, and delightful complexity make up this wonderful wine. The 2022 vintage is the thirtieth edition of Siepi, each of which has been rated highly by the most renowned wine authorities. A wine for collectors and special occasions.

Azienda Agricola Virna di Borgogno Virna

Barolo Cannubi

A dry wine made from native Piedmont grape Nebbiolo, with Lampia and Michet varieties. Cannubi is one of the most famous appellations of Barolo. Virna has there a small vineyard which gives this great wine. The quality of wines from this zone is the result of two different soils, that is grey-blueish loams, marls rich in calcium compounds (formed between 10 and 7 million years BC), yellowish sandstones (so called sandstones from Diano formed 9 million years BC) and layers of grey sand alternated. Cannubi has great potential and elegance, for which is praised by experts of Barolo. A long and careful making of Barolo from Cannubi consist in ageing for 18 months in French oak casks and 6 months in the bottle. Finesse, harmony and noble origin, all this Cannubi has.

Vinchio Vaglio Serra

Laudana Nizza Barbera d’Asti Superiore

A dry red wine of the autochthonous Barbera d‘Asti grape variety of Piedmont. The grapes were sellected from the vineyards located in the Barbera d‘Asti DOC Nizza subzone. The vineyards are situated in the hills, open to sun, on lime-sandy soils. Laudana is the name of vineyards yielding ripe grapes from which is made this fine wine. Moreover, the zone is considered by the local growers as the best grapegrowing area of Barbera. The harvest is done manually. After ten days of fermentation of grape juice in contact with the skins, part of the fresh wine goes to large wooden casks with a capacity of 750 litres and part to barriques. After 18 months of ageing in wood and next in the bottle, this Laudana wine is ready to drink

Lison

A dry white wine from the native Veneto grape Lison. The wine is one of the Venetian Tokai varieties that in the Lison Pramaggiore zone was already awarded DOC status in 1971. It recently has been awarded to the highest quality status and belongs to the DOCG wines - controlled designation of origin guaranteed. Lison represents the territory of its origin. Very ripe grapes undergo the careful process of vinification. The wine is fermented in contact with noble remains of grapes for six months. Lison in contrast to other white Venetian wines - light and fresh, is a well structured and full-bodied wine with a pleasant fruity note.

Color: straw yellow with greenish reflections.
Aroma: rich, banana, apple and fig notes.
Flavor: dry, rounded, with a delicate almond note in the finish.
Food matching: best with meals based on fish and white meats, and also good with eggs.

San Giovanni Novantasette Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva

A dry red wine from the native Tuscan grape Sangiovese. The Riserva vintage, 2011, made from the grapes originating from a small 2ha vineyard cultivated only with Sangiovese. A unique terroir makes the wine extremely soft and fresh. In addition, the organic wine certificate guarantees natural merits of Riserva from the Chianti Colli Fiorentini subzone. Aged for almost one year in 2500 litre oak casks, great structure and rich aromas, but above all fresh and fruity notes of Sangiovese.

Amarone della Valpolicella

Dry red wine of the autochthonous grapes of Veneto, Corvina Veronese, Corvinone i Rondinella. Amarone is a noble variety of Valpolicella, the most famous wine of the region. The strength and aromas of Amarone result from a special production technique of this wine. Ripe grapes are subjected to the process of drying in special air-conditioned rooms. In January or February following the harvest they undergo the process of fermentation and ageing in wood for over a year. This is a demanding wine, which goes well with rich-texture dishes based on meat and sauces.

Color: deep garnet, shimmering.
Aroma: intense, complex, ethereal, notes of cherry in alcohol and sweet spices.
Flavor: warm, velvety, harmonious.

Ca Vegar Valpolicella Superiore

Dry red wine from the indigenous Venetian grapes, Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Molinara and Rondinella. Ca Vegar is the local dialect for the name of the estate, Cantina Castelnuovo del Garda.The Superiore style indicates a higher alcohol content. The wine from a vineyard called Renaldo was matured in oak barrels for over a year. It is a wine of low acidity, with good texture and delicate fruity aromatic notes.

Vinchio Vaglio Serra

Barolo

Dry red wine of Piedmont‘s native Nebbiolo grape, orginating from the Langhe area. The wine of kings and king of wines. Is an example of excellence in the production of fine wine, which is the flagship of the Piedmont. The Nebbiolo grape takes its name after ‘nebbia‘, fog, reminiscent of the picturesque landscape of the area in the late autumn, when the harvest vineyards are shrouded in thick fog. G1928 Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso

A dry red wine made from the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grape. The name ‘Gio’ is an abbreviation of the name Giovanni, Ornella’s father born in 1928. It was he who thought her how to make wine, and above all filled her with enthusiasm and set value on work which enabled her to make a success of winemaking she and her family today can be proud of. This is the best wine in the whole range of Ornella. Picked by hand, after harvesting the grapes are fermented for 15 days in contact with skins, then the process continues in small stainless steel tanks. After that fresh wine is matured for 18 months in small oak barrels and for another 6 months in the bottle. Strange, almost ink color of Refosco combines well with rich structure, reminding of forest fruits and root spices. Subtle tannins make the wine noble and highlight its velvety flavors. An excellent accompaniment with roasted and grilled meats or long seasoned cheeses. The words „passione per la vite..passione per la vita” under the name of the wine meaning in Italian “passion for vines, passion for life” fully reflect Ornella’s philosophy, the owner of a prosperous firm.
