A dry red wine made from indigenous Sangiovese grapes with the addition of Black Malvasia and Colorino. Another example of the elegance and finesse of Marchesi Mazzei wines, and at the same time a best seller in terms of consumer reception. It comes from the family's historic vineyards around Fonterutoli Castle. It is the precise result of combining grapes from 114 different small plots, located at an altitude of 220 to 570 meters above sea level, characterized by a unique pedoclimatic diversity (soil and climate). It was aged for 12 months in small French oak barrels and larger tonneaux barrels, 40% of which are new.
