A dry white wine of native Marche grape Pecorino . It originates from vineyards located in the south of the region near the town Ascoli Piceno. The name, pecora in Italian sheep, probably refers to the fact that vineyards were situated in high pastures, from which the herds of sheep were moving to the plains, according to the seasons. In the II century BC Cato classified the variety, he wrote that it was introduced to Italy by the Greeks originating from the surroundings of Salonika. The Falerio is obtained from careful selection of hand-picked grapes. The wine was fermented for a few months on the skins called fece nobili or fine lees.
Color: straw yellow, shimmering.
Aroma: rich, complex, notes of flowers and ripe fruits.
Flavor: fresh, mineral, long lingering aftertaste.
Food matching: excellent with fish, seafood, consommé with noodles.
Serving temperature: 12°C.
