Azienda Vitivinicola Ornella Bellia, a family owned winery from the environs of Pramaggiore in Eastern Veneto.

The estate was established in 2000 and is an example of the small winegrowers who carefully run their business and are trustworthy. The owner of vineyards, Ornella Bellia, descended from a family of enologists, together with her husband Patrizio has taken up the challenge to follow the old tradition, and their work resulted in creating the wines of the highest quality.

The majority of vineyards are located in the Lison-Pramaggiore region that has been awarded DOCG (Controlled and guaranteed designation of orgin) status lately. Unique clay loam foundation, mild climate and close proximity to the see are favourable to wine cultivation, particularly white grape varieties. Among the wines from Ornella especially worth mentioning is Lison made from the Tokai grape. Other wines have the same characteristics as Venetian white wines – light, fresh, pleasant to drink.

Ornella describes her wines as traditional wines bringing good emotions and resembling the place they come from.

A dry red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon. This French grape well naturalized in eastern Veneto, here doesn‘t give great and structured wines. They are light, soft, tannic and gently fruity exactly like Omelia‘s Cabernet. This carefully worked out wine with intense color, not aged in wood, goes well with meat roasts.

A dry red wine of the autochthonous Refosco dal Peduncolo grape variety of Veneto. The name of the grape literally means a bunch of grapes in dark red color. The grape has been widely known since the Roman times and is inseparably linked with the territory of so called Three Venetos. Refosco is a wine that has a beautiful and intensive color. It is not aged in wood, because its value is freshness and vivacity. The Refosco from Ornella comes from the trimmed and sunny vineyards of the Lison Pramaggiore zone.

This is so called blend that is a composition of two batches of red grapes subjected to the separate process of vinification, next combined in the whole to age in wood. The name Gio’1928 is dedicated to the father of the winery owner - Giovanni born in 1928.

Grignolino di Asti "Miravalle"

A dry red wine of Piedmont‘s native grape, Grignolino. It‘s one of interesting wines of Piedmont, however a lesser known and scarcely appreciated by wine connoisseurs (apart from declared fans of Piedmont). Pity because Grignolino is an extremely delicious wine. It combines the delicateness of colour and aromas with the richness of structure, goes well with many dishes, from cured meats, through white meats, even up to fish. As the variety is hard to grown not every year it is possible to transform grapes into wine. The classic zone of its cultivation is in the surroundings of the town of Portacomaro. Miravalle with sandy soils belongs to its subzones and yields excellent quality grapes of Grignolino. An unoaked, great, little wine, delighting by the simplicity of varietal.

Aroma: delicate, notes of rose, cherry, pomegranate.
Flavor: delicate, elegant, with notes of almond in the finish.

Pinot Grigio

A dry white wine of the Pinot Grigio grape variety. The Pinot grape family of French origin is well naturalized in the mild climate of Estern Veneto. The local Pinot Grigio wine with slightly fruity and floral notes is distinguished by a good structure. As other wines from our producer Pinot Grigio was fermenting in contact with noble remains of grapes for several months.

Color: brilliant straw yellow.
Aroma: pear and apple notes, slightly pepper note.
Flavor: dry, firm, mineral, harmonious.
Food matching: best with aperitifs, hors d’oeuvres, soups, white meats and fish.

A dry red wine made from the Cabernet Franc grape. This grape variety orginating in France is generaly blended with Merlot, its "pure" version is a perfect example of a wine with a fairly good structure, combining well with most meat-based dishes. This wine from our producer located in Friuli was not aged in wood.

I Tre Vescovi Barbera d‘Asti Superiore

Dry red wine of the autochthonous Barbera d’Asti of Piedmont. The name Tre Vescovi - Three Bishops refers to the meeting place of the bishops of Asti, Alessandria and Acqui Terme on one of the hills, which today belongs to the vineyards of the Cooperative. Anyone who had the pleasure to try this Barbera, certainly confirms its bouquet and a great pleasure to savour. It is a hit among our Barberas. The wine belongs to the category ‘Superiore‘ that is charecterized by higher flavor qualities and alcohol level thanks to the careful selection of grapes and ageing for a minimum of 12 months of which 7 in oak barrel.

Aroma: notes of plum, ripe cherry, forest litter, soft vanilla.
Flavor: harmonious, full.
Food matching: very good for dishes based on meat and mushroom sauces; roast stewed and grilled meats, venison, seasoned and blue cheeses, cheese with herbs.

Il Garrulo Chianti Colli Senesi

Dry red wine made from the indigenous Tuscan Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano and Malvasia grape varieties. It is a traditional Chianti recipe, which, thanks to the addition of white grapes makes the wine soft and light. The name Garrulo is a bird that visits the Montenidoli vineyard. Chianti is a type of wine to drink on a daily basis, nicely seasoned.

Aroma: floral and fruity notes.
Flavor: slightly tannic, long felt in the mouth.
Food matching: recommended for tomato-based dishes and tomato sauces, to grilled meats, vegetable casseroles, .

A dry red wine made from native Sicily grape Frappato.This grape was already famous in the XVII century. The classic zone of cultivation is located in the south-eastern Sicily. Montenidoli di Maria Elisabetta Fagiuoli

Vinbrusco

Dry white wine from the indigenous Tuscan grapes of Trebbiano Gentile Malvasia Bianca. According to historical writings this was a favorite wine of Tuscan peasants. It ferments in steel tanks, and then matures on the natural yeasts, which were formed in the fermentation process itself. Thanks to this gains softness and full-body while maintaining the richness of perfumes, due to the presence of an aromatic Malvasia.

Dry white wine of native Piedmont grape Arneis. It comes from the left bank of the river Tanaro, Roero zone. Sandy soils with marly layers typical for this area are favorable for growing white grapes. In the Piedmontese dialect Arneis is a person with extraordinary temperament. Similarly, this wine tastes - expressive, strong and distinctive.
