A dry red wine of Piedmont‘s native grape, Barbera, in the Superiore version or with higher alcohol levels and from a special selection of grapes. The most popular grape variety of Piedmont, has, of course, its legend which explains its name. The king of the Longobards, Grimoald, liberated the city of Asti in 665 from the Franks which were perceived as barbarian invaders. This was done successfully thanks to the strong local wine that was given to the Frank troops and made them drunk. Hence, from that moment on the wine that was drunk by barbarians has been called Barbera. To celebrate this victory Grimoald ordered that Barbera is an obligatory accompaniment on the royal table. Even several centuries after the events this wine still delights by its power and character, what is best proved by Altea. 80% of this wine is aged for more than 12 months in French oak large barrels of 700 litres called tonneaux, and 20% in barriques. Then, the batches of wine are blended and bottled. A stunning wine for people that can appreciate the charm of Piedmont‘s authentic wine.

Dry red wine made from native Tuscany grapes Sangiovese and Colorino. Another Chianti from the sub-zone Rufina made by Dreolino, this, however, is a reserve Chianti Rufina of the 2016 year. A strong and concentrated wine, that matures for 2 years in small oak barrels called barriques. Reminding of ripe red fruits, full and elegant taste, with long finish. Like all the other Riservas is made only in the best vintages, so it will taste good even after a few years. Best with game: boar, pheasant, hare or long seasoned cheeses.

Dry red wine of the native Schiava Gentile and Lagrein grapes. Santa Maddalena is a district of Bolzano, which is considered as the best area for growing strain Schiava. Wine originating from these areas has good fruit and a hint of a good structure. Delicately marked tannins combine well with freshness of the wine.

Dry red wine of the indigenous Venetian grapes, Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Corvinone. This is the kind of a Valpolicella Classico Superiore called Ripasso. The Italian term means a special vinification technique, involving the fermentation on Valpolicella grapes, which were used in the production of Amarone, the most precious wines of Valpolicella belonging to the species. This process continues for about 15 days, after which the wine is subjected to aging in wooden casks for over a year. Ripasso wine is strongly built and elegant.

Dry white sparkling wine from the Chardonnay variety, belonging to the typology of Franciacorta. It is a type of wine whose fermentation process takes place according to the classical method of producing champagne, was used in the Champagne region in France and in the Cava region in Spain. Franciacorta is a small area located in the Lombardy region around Brescia. Thanks to the favorable climate and soil conditions the local winemakers produce highest quality sparkling wines here, mainly from Chardonnay. As a result of the fact that the time of maturation of the wine on yeasts is extremely long, from 18 to 60 months, Franciacorta is considered one of the best sparkling wines in the whole world. Dry red wine made from the autochthonous grape varieties of Veneto, Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara. It comes from the hilly vineyards around Verona in the region of Veneto. The category ‘Brut‘ indicates that sugar level is below 12gr/l. Prolonged fermentation makes the wine has excellent aroma qualities and flavor, with a delicate hint of yeast and bread crust.

A dry white sparkling wine from the native Veneto grape Glera. This variety of wine is called Prosecco and is a very popular sparkling wine among Italians and also connoisseurs throughout the whole world. Thanks to its lightness and freshness the wine is an indispensable companion to aperitifs and all kinds of celebrations. The Prosecco made by Ornella belongs to the Millesimato category, that is the vintage on 2011. This wine is delicately dry and its sugar content is between 12 and 20gr/l (Extra Dry). The grapes of the Glera grape type come from the Prosecco DOC zone.

Medium-dry red sparkling wine of the indigenous grape, Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro. It comes from the vineyards located on the hilly areas to the south of Modena. Made by the Charmat method or re-fermentation in large pressure tanks, with its characteristic crimson color and rich foam which are the attributes of the wine, the variety of Grasparossa di Castelvetro is characterized by intense winey and fruity notes. Among all four types of Lambrusco, classified as DOC, it is a full-bodied wine with the best structure. The semisecco or medium-dry version is great match for the main course and desserts.
