informations about producer

Montenidoli di Elisabetta Fagiuoli, the name Sono Montenidoli appears on all wine labels from this extraordinary wine producer and means literally I'm from Montenidoli.

Elisabetta Fagiuoli and her husband Sergio lived together for many years  in a picturesque farm situated in the high hills overlooking the charming city of San Gimignano. Sergio died in 2012. Writer and mentor of youth, like Elisabetta loved Chopin, always loyal, very cordial and amicable.  Despite the fact Sergio passed away, the heart of Tuscany wine region still pulsates leisurely and in accordance with nature here.

Thanks to Elisabetta descended from a family of winemakers coming from the environs of Verona in Montenidoli are made wines that are not similar to others, and especially white Vernacia varieties. True traditional attitudes and natural vinification methods used by the winemaker are admirabile.

Luigi Veronelli, an wine expert in the field of Italian wines portrayed this unique individual:

ELISABETTA FAGIUOLI is the living metaphor of her land, and she greets you, as the land welcomes you, with a smile that testifies to her joy in extending you hospitality. She shares with you her vision of the world, and impresses you with the same quiet strength that millennial culture of winemaking possesses. And you accept her for the elegance of her eloquence and gestures. She knows how to be firm and tough, going against the stream and standing alone, but is never unpleasant, never violent, with the same demeanor as the timeworn towers of San Gimignano across the valley from her property, towers grafted miraculously to the slopes of the hills harmoniously planted in vines and olives... On Poggio di San Gimignano.

Apart from extraordinary Vernacia wines Elisabetta makes also excellent red wines like Chianti Colli Senesi, indigenous Canaiolo and Colorino, elegant and noble Supertoscan made from the Sangiovese grapes grown on the triassic soils of the Wine Kingdom of Montenidoli.
