informations about producer

Viticoltori Associati Vinchio di Vaglio Serra cooperative was founded February 26, 1959 by 19 winemakers from Vinchio and Vaglio Serra, which currently has 224 members, the owners of approximately 320 hectares of vineyards.

Most of the grapes grow in the village Vinchio and Vaglio Serra, and partly in the nearby villages of Incisa Scapaccino, Cortiglione, Nizza Monferrato.Territory located in the hills of the Alto Monferrato zone is characterized by not very fertile sandy-limestone soils, which is exactly what the local Barbera grape likes.

Most of the vines grow on steep slopes, perfectly exposed to the sun.Low collection of 1.5 - 2 kg of grapes from a single tree and a high sugar content are guarantees for a great wine. And just such a wine is produced by our friends from Vinchio Vaglio.

Besides hard work, they also invested heavily in technological facilities. In this way the whole process of wine production is under the watchful supervision of specialists in wine.Their flagship product is the Barbera d‘Asti Superiore and stunning Vigne Vecchie (old vineyards), which is a natural, not oak - barreled Barbera, because it is derived from the oldest vineyards of the cooperative.

By following traditional recipes, wines of this producer retain what is most precious, the authenticity of the territory from which they originate.
