Dry white wine from the native Tuscan grape variety, Vernaccia di San Gimignano. Vernaccia s one of the oldest vines in Italy, the first mention of it comes from the Middle Ages. The name comes from the Latin Vernaculum, which means local. Vernaccia of San Gimignano is the most famous wine of the species. Tradizionale - a traditional vinification method is based on a long maceration of the grapes in contact with the skins, so that comes out their maximum natural flavor and aromas.
Color: straw yellow.
Aroma: notes of fresh hay, almonds.
Flavor: a velvety, rich.
Food matching: very good for fish, fish like raw sushi, vegetables such as spinach, artichokes, asparagus.

Dry red wine of the autochthonous grapes of Veneto, Corvina Veronese, Corvinone i Rondinella. Amarone is a noble variety of Valpolicella, the most famous wine of the region. The strength and aromas of Amarone result from a special production technique of this wine. Ripe grapes are subjected to the process of drying in special air-conditioned rooms. In January or February following the harvest they undergo the process of fermentation and ageing in wood for over a year. This is a demanding wine, which goes well with rich-texture dishes based on meat and sauces.
Color: deep garnet, shimmering.
Aroma: intense, complex, ethereal, notes of cherry in alcohol and sweet spices.
Flavor: warm, velvety, harmonious.
Food matching: ideal for meat-based dishes, mainly beef, roast and braised meats, also in its own gravy, with game.

A dry red wine made from native Piedmont grape Nebbiolo, with Lampia and Michet varieties, originating from a single vineyard called Sarmassa. The area of this zone borders the town of La Morra, characterized by the soil composed mainly of marls, so called marls of Saint Agatha, which give the wine fairly raw, but with excellent structure and great potential to age. Virna’s Barolo Sarmassa ages for 18 months in French oak barrels and casks, after that in stainless steel and for 6 months in the bottle. The 2015 vintage is considered very good as regards Barolo wines, Sarmassa will certainly maintain its potential for many years, however it’s advisable to taste it now and compare after a few years, to discover its longevity and understand its evolution.
Color: very intense ruby red.
Aroma: fresh, notes of red fruits with balsamic notes and gentle vanilla alternated.
Flavor: raw, full, rich, tannic.
Food Matching: ideal for dishes based on meat, excellent with beef steaks, long seasoned chesses.

Dry red wine from the indigenous Lagrein grape. Name comes from the Latin Lagenaria, which means barrel-shaped tank for wine, made of terracotta. Lagrein is a wine with a strong structure, also thanks to half-year aging in large wooden barrels. Lagrein is a wine with a relatively low tannic note and rich aroma. Very nice flavor, with a velvety texture and nicely marked fruit.
Color: intensely purple.
Aroma: notes of violets, ripe plum, clove, chocolate.
Flavor: velvety, soft, fresh
Food matching: very good for dishes based on venison, roast meats, grilled meats.

Dry red wine made from native Tuscany grapes Sangiovese and Colorino. A Chianti originating from the sub-zone of Rufina, located near Florence. It makes 5% of the whole Chianti region, and the wines produced in this sub-zone are considered classic of Chianti, which is famous and well-known in the whole world. Fruity notes of cherry and blackberry combine harmoniously with a deep and velvety structure. The Chianti Rufina is vinified in stainless steel, but part of the wine matures in oak barrels, thus the wine maintains rich aromas and taste not overwhelmed by wooden and vanilla notes. An excellent accompaniment with grilled meats and meat pasta sauces.

Dry red wine from native Tuscany grapes Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo Nero, Mammolo, Malvasia and Trebbiano Toscano. It is a wine variety from the area of Chianti Colli Senesi - the hills of Siena, including the province of Siena. The combination of five grape varieties of the classic Chianti formula. This delicate wine, with a slight floral note, is obtained through a combination of white grapes of Malvasia and Trebbiano. It goes well with most dishes, to drink with the meal every day.

Dry red wine of Cannonau. Great potential of Cannonau is best presented by the Riserva, aged for more than 12 months in small French oak barrels. Corash is the name of an ancient town of Cornus. This wine delights by its deep color and rich, velvety structure. It is an excellent accompaniment with aromatic dishes based on meats and game.
Color: burgundy with purple reflections.
Aroma: rich, notes of plum, blackberry, toasted wood.
Flavor: soft, full, warm.
Food matching: best with dishes based on red meats, roast meats, rabbit with nuts, lamb, roast pork, boar in wine, pecorino sardo cheese.

Dry red wine made from native Tuscany grapes Sangiovese and Colorino. Another Chianti from the sub-zone Rufina made by Dreolino, this, however, is a reserve Chianti Rufina of the 2016 year. A strong and concentrated wine, that matures for 2 years in small oak barrels called barriques. Reminding of ripe red fruits, full and elegant taste, with long finish. Like all the other Riservas is made only in the best vintages, so it will taste good even after a few years. Best with game: boar, pheasant, hare or long seasoned cheeses.

Dry red sparkling wine of the indigenous grape, Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro. It comes from the vineyards located on the hilly areas to the south of Modena. Made by the Charmat method or re-fermentation in large pressure tanks, with its characteristic crimson color and rich foam which are the attributes of the wine, the variety of Grasparossa di Catelvetro is characterized by intense fruity-winey notes. Among all four types of Lambrusco, classified as DOC, this is a full-bodied wine with the best structure. The secco or dry version is a classic of Lambrusco. The wine, light and pleasant to drink, goes well with the local cuisine of Modena as well with cured meats and fatty dishes like shank of veal or hand of pork.
