The Fratelli Masturzo Group gained their experience in growing olive trees and producing olive oil from very long tradition, more than hundred years old.

The history of Masturzo family began in Arola di Vico Aquense, a small town on the Coast of Sorrento, famous for its fresh air and clear water. All these factors are necessary for production of quality wine, cheeses and olive oil. In 1870 already Masturzos produced cheeses, olive oil and wine in their own estates. Their products were sold in the nearby city of Naples, and beginning from 1900 exported to America. In the 20s of XX century they decided to focus on growing olive groves and producing olive oil.

They then founded their first company, Fratelli Masturzo S.N.C, still working today. Masturzo brothers built their first olive oil production plant in Naples, second in Caserta, and a third in  Venosa in Basilicata. And Basilicata is still one of the least polluted and “healthiest”  regions of Italy. It is the place where are produced three excellent food products daily used in the Mediterranean diet: wheat, wine (famous Aglianico del Vulture) and extra-virgin olive oil.  The olive oil of Basilicata is famous for high quality and is unique in the world, as it is obtained from two native varieties, Maiatica and Ogliarola. Olive groves grown on fertile soils of extinct volcano Mt Vulture. The gentleness of Maiatica olives combines harmoniously with aromas and flavors of Ogliarola, therefore olive oil obtained from these two varieties is excellent to the taste and has perfect analytic properties.

    Extra virgin olive oil „Golden line”, cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil. Excellent quality olive oil coming from growing zones on fertile soils of extinct volcano Vulture in the region of Basilicata in southern Italy. It is a variety of olive oil with a delicate, pleasant aroma and intense, long lasting taste. Reminding of tomato and fresh cut grass. Thanks to hand-picking of olives (Ogliarola and Nocellara) and careful processing, this olive oil is used above all to dress raw dishes and salads. Very low acidity, below 0,25, proves excellent quality parameters.

    Use: mainly to dress raw dishes.

    Storage: After opening close the bottle tightly and protect against light and heat.
